Science courses are fundamental to your child’s education. Power Homeschool offers several types of online homeschool science classes for every grade level, from elementary through high school.
Earth Science Curriculum
Our earth science homeschool curriculum covers everything from earth and space to weather and more. With this course, students can learn more about the materials of the world we live in, how certain environmental events occur and what exists in the universe around us. This curriculum also introduces scientific and investigative thinking skills and technologies.
Biology Curriculum
Our high school biology program spans a full year. Throughout this course, students will learn about the living things on Earth, including DNA, organisms and ecosystems. The course covers the basics in the first unit and then gradually adds more detail and complex topics as it builds through the 15 units.
Power Homeschool also offers an Advanced Placement (AP) biology course for further in-depth topics at an introductory college level. We do recommend that students complete the traditional biology and chemistry courses before registering for AP biology.
Physics and Chemistry Curriculum
Many physics and chemistry subjects go hand-in-hand, supplementing each other’s course material. We start the physics and chemistry curriculum with an introductory course before breaking the subjects down further in other classes. We also provide general, AP and honors chemistry and physics.

- Life science: Study all forms of life in this middle school-level course, from plants to humans. This acts as a basic introductory course to high school biology.
- Physical science: Students can study the beginnings of matter and energy and all the scientific discoveries of Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and other historical figures.
- Environmental science: Your student will research the patterns and processes of human impact on our environment, including current events facing our world.
- Remedial courses: Power Homeschool offers remedial courses through Acellus® to help middle school students catch up on basic scientific concepts before moving on to the next level.
