The ROGER BILLINGS Scholarship

Scholarship Requirements

Students who demonstrate a serious commitment to their education and are willing to be supportive in helping improve our programs are eligible to enroll in Power Homeschool at a significantly reduced tuition rate. This commitment is demonstrated by consistently achieving daily study goals and making a dedicated effort to master course material.

Get Started

Are you ready to enroll with this new scholarship? Visit our enroll page to get started.

Ongoing requirements include the following criteria that will be evaluated:

  • Original work. The student will do their own work and will not arrange for someone else to do it for them. This is the foundation everything else rests on.

  • Regular, consistent study. We like to see a student sign in and work regularly — ideally four or five days a week — spending time on the system and meeting their daily study goals. To qualify for the scholarship, we require the following minimum of study time on the system per month:

Elementary Students         20 hours per month
Middle School Students    30 hours per month
High School Students        40 hours per month

We aim to remain flexible and considerate in applying this policy, and we grant an exception for study time requirements throughout the summer months of June, July, and August. The first instance in which a student fails to meet the required minimum study time results in a warning letter sent to the parent email address on file with us. Should the inadequate attendance persist, the scholarship is cancelled.

    • Serious effort. The work itself must be a genuine effort to learn. Some students simply guess at answers repeatedly or enter careless, throwaway text into the Writing Tutor. We consider that behavior a waste of our scholarship funds, and it will put the scholarship at risk.

    • A Supportive Partnership. Scholarship recipients are expected to be supportive of our programs.

    Scholarship Tuition Rates

The scholarship is provided subject to the availability of funds and adherence to the requirements described above. Failure to comply will trigger re-evaluation of the scholarship and possible termination. Power Homeschool reserves the right to revoke the scholarship at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion. This scholarship program will not be available to parents involved in publicly posting damaging and defaming attacks against Acellus or its staff. Parents are invited to contact Dr. Billings via his personal website, rogerebillings.com with any concerns or suggestions regarding ways to improve Acellus. Families that actively participate in Power Homeschool assist in constructing a better future for their children by contributing to the program’s continual improvement with their constructive feedback.
