Research shows that students who attend Dr. Billings’ weekly lectures improve academically and develop positive attitudes about their schoolwork. Dr. Billings encourages and inspires students to do their best work and believe in their ability to change the world by sharing examples from his own life and career.
Scholarship Tuition Rates
Students who are willing to commit to attending the live lecture online each week and are willing to be supportive in helping improve Acellus are eligible to enroll in Power Homeschool at a significantly reduced monthly tuition rate. The Roger Billings Scholarship was created to encourage and involve students in their academic path. This scholarship will not be available to parents involved in publicly posting damaging and defaming attacks against Acellus or its staff. Parents are invited to contact Dr. Billings via his personal website, rogerbillings.com, with any concerns or suggestions regarding ways to improve Acellus.
The scholarship is provided subject to the availability of funds and adherence to the requirements described above. Failure to comply will trigger re-evaluation of the scholarship and possible termination. Families that actively participate in Power Homeschool assist in constructing a better future for their children by contributing to the program’s continual improvement with their constructive feedback.
Who Can Participate?
Children in kindergarten through high school are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which is particularly focused on creative children who have an interest in science and technology.
The Roger Billings Scholarship program requires students to attend the weekly Science L!VE lecture and submit a question or remark.
Students in this scholarship program are encouraged to attend the Acellus Science Fair as well, although it is not a requirement. Students who use an ESA or other government funding to pay for their tuition are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Will the special tuition rate be terminated if my student does not attend each week?
If a student does not attend the live weekly lecture over the Internet, the parents will be notified and the student will be put on probation. In the event that the student continues to not attend the weekly lecture, the student’s Scholarship Program Tuition rate will not be renewed.
Will the Scholarship program be available for multiple years?
This scholarship is a long-term program and will continue in the future, funds permitting. The program requirements and student participation will be reviewed annually.

Dr. Roger Billings is the creator of the Acellus Learning System and is also known as the inventor of the hydrogen-powered automobile. He is credited with significant innovations in the areas of renewable energy, computer networking, cybersecurity, and education.
In 2001, Dr. Billings launched Acellus as an initiative of the International Academy of Science to improve math and science scores at schools throughout the United States. Years later, Power Homeschool, an Acellus curriculum provider, was established for families looking to independently homeschool their children and provide students with an excellent education from home.
The Roger Billings Scholarship was created as part of Roger Billings’ lifelong commitment to support education and to “give back” by mentoring students. More information regarding his work may be found at the links below.
