Homeschool History Curriculum

The Acellus® high school world history curriculum builds a strong foundation in global history with fourteen units. Students begin by exploring early civilizations—Mesopotamia, Egypt, Ancient India and China—along with geography and early belief systems.

They will then move into classical eras: Greece, Rome, Byzantium, Islam, medieval Europe, Africa, and Asia, studying empires, cultural exchanges, and major events like the Crusades and Black Death.

Next, students will dive into the Renaissance, Reformation, Scientific Revolution, and the Age of Exploration. They progress through revolutions in America, France, Latin America, the Industrial Revolution, nationalism, and imperialism.

The course finishes with the World Wars, the Great Depression, the Cold War, decolonization, and modern topics like globalization, human rights, and environmental impact. With engaging videos, quizzes, unit tests, and exams, it equips students with critical thinking, global awareness, and the analytical tools needed for deeper social studies or understanding the world today.
